Vojta's Method Application in Therapy of Postnatal Plexus Brachialis Palsy

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na uplatnění Vojtovy reflexní lokomoce u dětí s poporodní parézou plexus brachialis. Zdůrazňuje včasnost zahájení terapie, která jasně respektuje ontogenetický vývoj dítěte a nabízí aktivaci paretických segmentů a jejich řazení do celkového tělesného schématu. Pomocí Vojtovy metody je možno zachovat, i v případě traumatického poškození, optimální motorický vývoj dítěte s ohledem na věk, kvantitu i kvalitu dostupných pohybových vzorců. Kazuistiky dokazují úspěšnost VRL při léčbě poporodní parézy plexu brachialis a upozorňuje na nezastupitelnou roli rodičů v terapii dítěte.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the application of Vojta's reflexive locomotion in children with brachial plexus palsy postpartum. It emphasizes the timeliness of initiation of therapy, which clearly respects the ontogenetic development of the child and offers activation paretic segments and their sorting in the overall body scheme. Using the Vojta method it is possible to maintain - even in the case of traumatic injury - optimal children motor development with regard to age, quantity and quality of available movement patterns. Given case reports show success in treating postpartum VRL palsy brachial plexus and highlights the essential role of parents in child therapy.
