Perception of Landscape Margins as a Significant Structure of Landscape in Specific Municipalities of Bohemian - Moravian Highlands Microregion - Humpolecko

Abstract:

Termín rozhraní se v této práci používá k popisu mnoha krajinných prvků, jde o meze, remízky, nejrůznější křoví, břehové porosty, lesní lemy aj. U rozhraní je významná především jejich mimoprodukční funkce, avšak tyto struktury se vyskytují zejména v krajině kulturní (zemědělské), kde je často dáván důraz na funkce produkční. Cílem práce je na základě kvalitativního výzkumu analyzovat způsob, jakým jsou ve zvoleném mikroregionu vnímána rozhraní vybranou skupinou obyvatel (zemědělci, vlastníky pozemků). Úvodní a teoretická část se věnuje problematice rozhraní, percepce krajiny a charakteristikám mikroregionu Humpolecko. Empirická část obsahuje projekt kvalitativního výzkumu, na nějž navazují výsledky, ke kterým jsem v průběhu práce dospěla. Na shrnutí výsledků navazuje návrh managementu rozhraní ve zvolené oblasti a porovnání dosažených výsledků s výzkumy s obdobnou tématikou v České republice a zahraničí. Závěr práce shrnuje získané poznatky v obecné rovině.

Abstract:

The term boundary in this work is used to describe many landscape features such as boundaries, hedges, scrubs, ground covers, wildlife areas, sylvan edges etc. Although boundaries are in particular important for their nonproductive functions, they occur primarily in the cultural (agricultural) landscape, where great stress is mainly laid on productive functions. The goal of this work is to analyze how a selected group of residents (farmers, landowners) perceives boundaries in the selected microregion. The introductory and the theoretical parts of the thesis deal with the issues of ecotones, landscape perception and characteristics of Humpolecko microregion. The empirical part of the thesis contains a qualitative research project followed by the findings I concluded during making of the thesis. The summary of the findings is followed by the concept of boundary management in the selected area and the comparison of the results with outcomes of similar surveys in the Czech Republic and abroad. The conclusion contains all findings of the study in general.
