Aim of this master's thesis is to seek out and critically review existing methodical procedures of hydromorphological assessment of watercourses. According to EU's Water Framework Directive, member states are obliged to assess quality of their watercourses. To fulfill this duty, states create their own procedures. Tato práce si klade za cíl vyhledat a kriticky zhodnotit existující metodické přístupy k hodnocení hydromorfologie vodních toků. Povinnost hodnotit kvalitu vodních toků ukládá členským státům direktiva Evropské unie. Aby vyhověli těmto požadavkům, vytvářejí si jednotlivé státy vlastní metodiky.
