This thesis deals with the past and the present of Liverpool. The thesis follows the development of the city from its founding in 1207, through the time of the greatest glory, to its latest history when the city became European Capital of Culture in 2008. Tato práce se zabýva historií a současností města Liverpool. Práce sleduje vývoj města od jeho založení roku 1207, skrz doby největší slávy, až po jeho nedávnou minulost kdy se město stalo hlavním městem kultury pro rok 2008. V práci je popsán vliv polohy města na jeho vývoj a charakter. V první kapitole jsou popsány architektonické skvosty a důležité ulice města. Poslední kapitola popisuje kulturní …more
