The author introduces dactyloscopy as an ancient science which is used in the present day as well. The beginnings, history, knowledge, phrases, origin and the classification of dactyloscopic traces are further elaborated in the work. Autor predstavuje daktyloskopiu ako starodávnu vedu ktorá je používaná až dodnes. Približuje jej počiatky, históriu, poznatky, pojmy, vznik a delenie daktyloskopických stôp. V jej hlavnej časti sa vyhľadávaním, zviditeľňovaním a zaisťovaním daktyloskopických stôp. Praktická časť je vypracovaná formou postupu.
