Traditions and customs at the national border: research of Czech and Bavarian traditions and their transfer

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the topic "Customs and traditions at the borders: research of Czech and Bavarian customs and research of their transmission". As part of this work, close cooperation was established with information and tourist centers in cities in the Czech-Bavarian border area (these are the cities: Tachov, Domažlice, Klatovy, Weiden, Regensburg and Bayreuth). The main goal of the work is not only a description of customs and traditions, which are celebrated on both sides of the border throughout the year, but also independently conducted research in the field, which closely deals with the current situation in this topic. The theoretical part is descriptive and deals with the presentation of the most famous and common traditions, customs or cultural events that the inhabitants of the Czech-Bavarian borderland have in common. At the same time, the author focused on customs and traditions that are not so well known, for example. The theoretical part of the work is therefore devoted mainly to the information-descriptive part, which aims to introduce the most important customs and traditions to all potential applicants for the Czech-Bavarian borderland. The theoretical part is followed by a practical part, which also has an information-descriptive function and deals with the already mentioned research in the field. In cooperation with information and cultural centers, a bilingual questionnaire was created, which was distributed as part of a questionnaire survey to all potential applicants for customs and traditions in the Czech-Bavarian territory.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tématem "Zvyky a tradice na hranicích: výzkum českých a bavorských zvyků a výzkum jejich přenosu". V rámci této práce byla navázana úzká spolupráce s informačními a turistickými centry ve městech v česko-bavorské příhraniční oblasti (jde o města: Tachov, Domažlice, Klatovy, Weiden, Regensburg a Bayreuth). Hlavním cílem práce není jen popis zvyků a tradic, které se na obou stranách hranice slaví v průběhu celého roku, ale i samostatně vedený výzkum v terénu, který se úzce zabývá aktuální situací v rámci tohoto tématu.Teoretická část je popisná a zabývá se představením nejznámějších a společných tradic, zvyků nebo kulturních událostí, které mají obyvatelé česko-bavorského přihraničí společné. Zároveň se autorka zaměřila i na zvyky a tradice, které například nejsou tolik známé nebo o nich sousední obyvatelé česko-bavorského přihraničí nemají žádné informace. Teoretická část práce je tedy věnována hlavně informačně-popisné části, která má za cíl představit nejvýznamější zvyky a tradice všem potenciálním zájemcům o česko-bavorské přihraničí. Na teoretickou část navazuje část praktická, která má také informačně-popisnou funkci a zabývá se již zmíněným výzkumem v terénu. Ve spolupráci s informačními a kulturními středisky vznikl dvojjazyčný dotazník, který byl v rámci dotazníkového šetření distribuován všem potenciálním zájemcům o zvyky a tradice na česko-bavorském území.
