Pyrazole antagonists of cannabinoid receptors in the therapy of obesity

Abstract:

Předkládaná bakalářská práce se zabývá pyrazolovými antagonisty kanabinoidních receptorů pro terapii obezity. V úvodu práce je proveden základní popis vzniku obezity, závažných nemocí spojených s obezitou a nakonec její možné léčby. Další část práce je zaměřená na popis sloučenin, které působí jako antagonisté na kanabinoidní receptory CB1 a CB2 a byly vybrány jako potenciální léky proti obezitě. Předmětem experimentální části je příprava esterů pyrazol-3-karboxylové kyseliny. Metoda pro jejich syntézu byla vylepšena oproti metodě stávající. Připravené sloučeniny jsou prekurzory pro potenciální antagonisty kanabinoidních receptorů. Byly charakterizovány NMR spektroskopií, hmotnostní spektrometrií s vysokým rozlišením a elementární analýzou.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with pyrazole antagonists of cannabinoid receptors and their application for the treatment of obesity. The thesis gives a basic description of the emergence of obesity, a description of serious diseases linked to obesity as well as a description of possible treatments of obesity. The following part deals with a description of compounds which act as CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptor antagonists and which were selected as potential drugs for the treatment of obesity. Experimental part describes an improved methodology for the synthesis of esters of pyrazol-3-carboxylic acid. The compounds prepared are precursors for potential antagonists of cannabinoid receptors. They characterization was done by means of NMR spectroscopy, high resolution mass spektrometry and elemental analyses.
