Real assets market

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce si klade za cíl objasnit základní možnosti investování do reálných aktiv se zaměřením na specifický trh s uměním. V několika níže uvedených kapitolách se nejprve přesvědčíme, jaké jsou stávající možnosti investic do reálných aktiv včetně jejich dosavadního vývoje. Zároveň si ukážeme zásadní přínosy a rizika pro investory, kteří se rozhodnou investovat do těchto finančních instrumentů. V praktické části se potom objasníme, jaké byly nejen počátky investování do umění v České Republice, ale také zhodnotíme jejich vývoj za posledních několik let ve světovém měřítku. Finální závěry ukazují, že trh s uměním představuje alternativní investici, kterou lze efektivně diverzifikovat investiční portfolio, nicméně specifičnost trhu vyžaduje značné zkušenosti a je určena spíše pro zkušenější investory.

Abstract:

The thesis aims to illuminate the basic real active investment options of the art market. The current state of the art market and its implications for investments oportunities will be the first part examined (including the contemporary trending), followed by pros and cons of such investment endeavours. The empirical part of the thesis comprises of the examination of foundation of the art trade and its progress in the Czech Republic and a close look on the global market of the last few years. The thesis concludes with findings of the art market labeled as an alternative to more standard investments (good choice for a portfolio diversification) nevertheless the specific intrigues of the said market call for experienced investment personnel.
