Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vzestupem anti-amerikanismu v západní Evropě po druhé světové válce. Soustředí se především na důležité události týkající se zahraniční politiky těchto států, jako je například Berlínská blokáda, Berlínská krize, Suezská krize, válka ve Vietnamu, Kubánská krize, pád komunismu, válka s terorismem a mnohé další. Cílem této práce je poukázat nejen na vliv americké zahraniční politiky na západní Evropu, ale také na vztahy mezi jednotlivými velmocemi a to Velkou Británií, Francií, Německem a Spojenými Státy Americkými od konce druhé světové války až po současnost.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the rise of anti-Americanism in Western Europe after World War II. It is focused on the main events such as Berlin Crisis, Suez Crisis, Vietnam War, Cuban Missile Crisis, Fall of Communism, War on Terror and many others. The goal of the thesis is to point out the influence of US foreign policy on Western Europe and at the same time to show how the relations between Britain, France, Germany and the United States of America have changed over the years.
