Detection of Bubbles in the Infusion Technique

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je nastudovat a zhodnotit stávající metody detekce bublin v infuzní technice. Zjistit jejich klady a zápory a podle toho následně navrhnout a zkonstruovat vlastní. Cílem tohoto detektoru je nejen detekovat přítomnost bubliny v infuzní hadičce ale i stanovit její objem. Detektor by měl mít co nejvyšší citlivost, jednoduchou a levnou konstrukci a širší uplatnění (například v hemodialýze, plazmaferéze apod.).

Abstract:

The goal of this work is to evaluate existing method of bubbles detection in the infusion technique. Find out the pros and cons and then accordingly design and construct own detector. The aim of this detector is to not only detect the presence of bubbles in the infusion tubing but also to determine it’s volume. The detector should have the highest possible sensitivity, simple and inexpensive construction and wider application (e.g. hemodialysis, plasmapheresis, etc.).
