Tato práce se zaměřuje na použití vědy jako narativního nástroje ve dvou novelách Irského spisovatele Briana O’Nolana. Ve svých knihách The Third Policeman a The Dalkey Archive, O’Nolan představuje postavu šíleného vědce De Selbyho, jehož experimentování bizarní formou odráží otázku lidského poznávání podstaty světa. Abstract:
This work centers around the use of science as a narrative tool in two novels by the Irish author Brian O’Nolan. In his books The Third Policeman and The Dalkey Archive, O’Nolan introduces the character of a mad scientist De Selby, whose experiments mirror the epistemology of humankind.
