Reliability and validity of sport-trackers monitoring sport activity

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce řeší problematiku spolehlivosti GPS signálu pro sportovní mobilní aplikace. Zvolený problém jsem vyřešil pomocí reliability a validity aplikací, které jsou v této práci využity. Provedeným výzkumem jsem zjistil, že hodnoty terénního běhu jsou odlišné od běhu na okruhu městského stadionu. Hlavním zjištěním tedy je, že sportovní mobilní aplikace jsou více přesné na rozsáhlé ploše než na menší okruhové ploše. Dále bylo zjištěno komparací s podobnými výzkumy, že sportovní mobilní aplikace nejsou na takové úrovni jako sporttestery.

Abstract:

This bachelors work deals with the problematics on the topic of the relibility of tracking the GPS signal of the sports applications for the mobile phones. The chosen problem that was looked into was being studied using the reliability and validity of the tested sample mobile applications. According to the executed practical research it has been found out that there is a contrast between results of the usage while in the terrain and on the athletics track of the City Stadium. The main discovery is that the sports applications for the mobile phones are more accurate while being used covering a vast area rather than a smaller circuit such as an athletics track. Other finding was made while comparing the results of the research with other similar surveys and so that the sports mobile applications are not on the same level in terms of tracking as the sporttesters.
