Jewish Sports Clubs in Modern History
Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem sportovních židovských klubů v novodobých dějinách, jejich vývojem, úskalími, která je od prvopočátku provázela. Důraz je kladen na II. světové zimní hry, kde se naší reprezentaci podařilo dosáhnout historického úspěchu. V práci jsou zahrnuty i faktory, které na Židy působily. Závěr obsahuje krátké shrnutí.
Abstract:
The BA thesis concerns Jewish sports clubs in modern history, their development and the perils the clubs had to face from their very beginnings. The emphasis is on the 2nd Maccabiah Winter Games, where Czech representatives celebrated an unprecedented victory. The BA thesis touches on the different factors Jews were affected by, too. The Conclusion sums up the main points briefly.
