Experiencing of the consultations on OSPOD during negotiations on child custody by divorced fathers and social workers

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce zkoumá prožívání konzultací na OSPOD. Cílem této práce bylo zjistit, jak rozvedení otcové a sociální pracovnice prožívají konzultace na OSPOD při jednání o svěření dítěte do péče. V teoretické části práce jsou vymezeny základní pojmy: otcovství, mužství, sociálně-právní ochrana dětí, sociální pracovnice OSPOD a prožívání. Metodologická část popisuje metodiku výzkumu a v interpretační části je uveden popis a interpretace získaných dat. Výzkum založený na kvalitativní výzkumné strategii byl realizovaný formou hloubkových rozhovorů s rozvedenými otci a sociálními pracovnicemi OSPOD. Rozhovory byly následně analyzovány pomocí interpretativní fenomenologické analýzy. Výsledkem práce je zjištění, že rozvedení otcové a sociální pracovnice OSPOD prožívají konzultace odlišně. Otcové se při jednání cítili znevýhodnění svým mužstvím a ze strany OSPOD nepociťovali pomoc k řešení jejich situace. Sociální pracovnice nerozlišují, zda spolupracují s otcem či s matkou a k oběma přistupují rovnocenně. Respondenty spojoval motiv pro vzájemné jednání, který spatřovali v zájmu dítěte.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the issue of experience of consultations at OSPOD. The aim of the thesis is to discover how divorced fathers and social workers experience the consultations at OSPOD during negotiations about custody. Theoretical part of the thesis defines basic terms: fatherhood, manhood, social and legal protection of children, social workers of OSPOD, experience. Methodological part of the thesis describes the research methodology and interpretative part deals with the description and interpretation of acquired data. The research was based on qualitative research strategy and it was realized in the form of depth interviews with divorced fathers and social workers of OSPOD. The interviews were analyzed with interpretative phenomenological analysis. The result of the thesis is finding that divorced fathers and social workers of OSPOD experience the consultations in a different way. Fathers felt they were at a disadvantage because of their manhood and felt that OSPOD wasn`t helpful in solving their situation. Social workers don`t distinguish whether they work with father or mather and they have equal approach. Common incentive for negotiations daclared by all respondents is based on the interest of a child.
