Description of speech figures in the population´s everyday utterances of South Bohemians

Abstract:

Jaká je běžná mluva obyvatel jihočeského regionu, konkrétně oblasti Českobudějovicka, Písecka a Českokrumlovska v 21.století? Objevují se v jejich každodenním projevu regionalismy? Působí obecná čeština na stírání nářečních rozdílů? To jsou otázky, na které se tato práce snaží odpovědět. Podrobná analýza jazykových prostředků použitých ve spontánních dialogických projevech přinesla aktuální informace. Byl sestaven repertoár nářečních prvků typických pro současný jazyk Jihočechů a také repertoár hojně užívaných prvků obecné češtiny. Výzkum prokázal, že nářečí je životaschopným organismem vyvíjejícím se v čase a prostoru, který sice podléhá vyrovnávajícím tendencím, ale v běžně mluveném jazyce se stále významně prosazuje.

Abstract:

What is a current register of speech for the population of South Bohemia, especially of the regions Český Krumlov, Písek and Český Krumlov, in the 21th century? Are there any regionalisms in the population's everyday utterances? Is the common Czech language a tool to eliminate all dialect differences? Those are the questions which represent the main focus of this work. Topical information was discovered in the detailed analysis of speech figures used in spontaneous dialogues, there was constructed a range of dialect expressions typical for the contemporary language of South Bohemians and also a range of frequently used expressions from the common Czech language. The research shows that a dialect is a vivid organism changing in time and space, which yields to the balancing tendencies but it is significantly stronger in the everyday spoken language.
