The use of bill exchange as credit and payment tool

Abstract:

The goal of the thesis is the use of bill of exchange as a credit and payment tool in a selected commercial bank. It strives to give an overview and provide options for the public to use the bill of exchange and securities. The thesis is divided into three separate chapters. The first chapter of the thesis deals with the characteristics, categorization, functions, legal and international aspects of the bill of exchange and provides a short characteristics of securities. Next chapter focuses on the analysis of securities in a selected commercial bank (the Tatra Bank). The last chapter contains examples of possibilities of the bill of exchange use in a selected commercial bank (the Tatra bank). With respect to the scope of the issue, and due to dynamic changes in this sphere, the thesis provides only a partial view of the topic. Since the information and documents used in the thesis were updated in 2008 and 2009, some data and facts do not necessarily comply with the actual reality.

Abstract:

Cieľom diplomovej práce je využívanie zmenky ako úverového a platobného nástroja vo vybranej komerčnej banke. Poskytnúť prehľad a možnosti využívania zmenky a cenných papierov pre verejnosť. Diplomová práca je rozčlenená do troch samostatných kapitol. Prvá kapitola je zameraná na charakteristiku, členenie, funkcie, právne a medzinárodné aspekty zmenky a stručnú charakteristiku cenných papierov. Ďalšia kapitola je zameraná na analýzu cenných papierov vo vybranej komerčnej banke ( Tatra banka ). A posledná kapitola obsahuje príklady ako sa zmenka využíva vo vybranej komerčnej banke ( Tatra banka ). Vzhľadom na rozsah danej problematiky a dynamických zmien v predmetnej oblasti, práca poskytuje len čiastkový pohľad na danú problematiku. Nakoľko som informácie a materiály na zrealizovanie diplomovej práce čerpala z obdobia 2008 – 2009, niektoré údaje a informácie dnes už nemusia byť aktuálne.
