Abstract:

Ve své magisterské diplomové práci se zabývám srovnáním křesťanské symboliky ve dvou etapách starší české literatury, ve středověku a v baroku. Jako zástupná díla pro zkoumání symbolů jsem zvolila vrcholné umělecké skladby své doby - středověkou legendu "Život svaté Kateřiny" a barokní kancionál Adama Václava Michny z Otradovic "Česká mariánská muzika". Výsledky práce potvrzují počáteční hypotézu o odlišném charakteru a funkci symboliky v těchto dvou etapách. Diplomová práce přináší také teoretické pojednání o předpokladech křesťanské symboliky ve filozofii a v historii.

Abstract:

In my diploma thesis I deal with comparison of christianity symbology in two periods of Old Czech literature, in the Middle Ages and in baroque. As a representative pieces for my enquiry into emblems I chose top productions of the time - medieval legend "The Life of Saint Catherine" and baroque hymn-book "Czech Marian music" from Adam Václav Michna from Otradovice. Results of my work testify to initiative hypothesis of the diverse character an function of symbology in this two periods. Diploma thesis brings teoretical treatise on presumptions of christianity symbology in philosophy and history, too.
