Obesity of children and adolescents

Abstract:

V teoretické části diplomové práce jsou zpracovány dosud získané poznatky o problematice dětské obezity. Zaměřuje se na rizikové faktory a důsledky nadváhy a obezity. Dále zpracovává oblast prevence, diagnostiky a terapie dětské obezity. Empirická část byla zaměřena na srovnání parametrů, které byly získány zanášením hmotností a výšek do percentilových grafů, u vybraného vzorku dětí. Na základě výzkumu byl zjištěn nárůst celkového podílu obézních dětí a dětí s nadváhou u vybraného vzorku, což odpovídá všeobecnému trendu společnosti.

Abstract:

In the theoretical part of the diploma thesis there is described up-to-date knowledge about the topic of children obesity. The risk factors and the consequences of overweight and obesity are targeted. Moreover the area of prevention, diagnostics and therapy of children obesity is described. The empirical part focused on the comparison of parameters, which were taken from the percentile graphs based on the individual weight and height, within the chosen sample. Based on the investigation the increase of the total occurrence of overweight and obesity was found out in the chosen sample, which si in conformity with general trend, that can be seen in our society.
