A birth plan and its use in outpatient childbirth

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem diplomové práce je porovnat, jaká byla motivace ženy podstoupit ambulantní porod, která u porodu využila porodní plán a jaká byla motivace ženy podstoupit ambulantní porod, která porodní plán nevyužila. Metodika: Formou kazuistiky je zpracována problematika žen, které se rozhodly pro ambulantní porod, dvě z nich si k porodu přinesly porodní plán. Informace pro kvalitativní výzkum byly získány pomocí nestrukturovaných rozhovorů, metodou pozorování a analýzou ošetřovatelské a lékařské dokumentace. Výsledky: Šetřením bylo zjištěno, že pro ambulantní porod měly klientky totožné důvody. Z kazuistik vyplývá, že důvodem byla separace matky od dítěte a rodiny, špatná zkušenost s pobytem v nemocnici, rutina a řád šestinedělí, sociální zařízení, soukromí a nemocniční strava. Porod chtěly, aby probíhal podle jejich představ. Závěr: Porodní plán a ambulantní porod není v České republice tradiční volbou rodiček. Najdou se ale i ženy, které si tuto možnost zvolí. Každá těhotná žena, přicházející k porodu, by měla mít možnost volby. Měl by jí být poskytnutý prostor sdělit vlastní názor, položit lékařům a porodním asistentkám své dotazy a dát najevo svou představu a přání o průběhu porodu.

Abstract:

Objective: The object of this thesis is to compare what was the motivation of women to undergo an outpation childbirth who during the childbirth used a birth plan and what was the motivation of women to undergo an outpation childbirth who not used a birth plan. Methodology: There is processed an issue of women by casuistry who decided to undergo an outpatient childbirth, two women who had created a birth plan. The information needed for a quality research were obtained by unstructured interviews, method of observation and by analysis of nursing and medical documentation. Results: There was found out by research that the clients had similar reasons for an outpacient childbirth. It was a separation of mother and a child and family, hospital environment, puerperium, sanitary facilities, privacy and hospital diet. Childbirth wanted to take place according to their ideas. Conclusion: Childbirth plan and outpacient childbirth is not a traditional choice of women in labour in Czech Republic but there are women who choose this alternative option. Every pregnant woman should have a choice. It should be provided space to tell their own opinion, ask the doctors and midwives and let them know about their vision and desire about the delivery.
