The role of a social worker in a multidisciplinary team of a selected children's hospice

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá rolí sociálního pracovníka při naplňování potřeb dětí s život ohrožující nebo život omezující chorobou a jejich rodin, jakožto klientů dětského hospice. Na roli sociálního pracovníka je pohlíženo jak z pohledu sociálního pracovníka vybraného dětského hospice, tak z pohledu klientů (tzn. dětí a jejich rodičů). Práce se zabývá také identifikací potřeb těchto klientů, které jsou důležité pro správné chápání klientova přirozeného světa. V první části práce jsou vymezeny teoretické koncepty, a ty jsou východiskem pro další zkoumání. V metodologické části je popsána volba výzkumné strategie, která je u této práce kvalitativní. Následně je objasněna operacionalizace dílčích výzkumných otázek, technika sběru dat, je zde popsána jednotka zkoumání a zjišťování a realizace výzkumu. Poslední, analytická část, je věnována analýze a interpretaci získaných dat. V závěru práce je zodpovězená hlavní výzkumná otázka.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the role of the social worker in the process of satisfying needs of children with life limiting or life threatening disease and their families as children’s hospice’s clients. The role of the social worker is seen from the point of view of the social worker of the selected children´s hospice himself and also from the point of view of the clients (the children and their parents). The thesis also deals with an identification of needs of these clients, which are important for the right understanding of the client‘s natural world. In the first part are defined theoretical concepts that form the basis for further research. The methodological part describes the research strategy, which is qualitative in this thesis. Afterwards, is described the operationalisation of the partial questions, the data collection technique, the research unit and the implementation of the research. The last analytic part of the thesis is devoted to the analysis and the interpretation of the obtained data. In the conclusion is answered the main research question.
