Student Theatre as a Support of Learning of French and Its Tradition in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

This thesis examines the use of theater in high school as a teaching tool. He compares the theories of many didactics as well as teachers and actual practice in the Czech school system. This analysis begins with a retrospective of the history and methodologies linking drama to teaching. The second part, which will be a more practical analysis, will enable us to compare the different theories with the opinions of the main actors of this domain (teachers and students). This part will also allow us to reference the work of theater workshops in different institutions of the Czech Republic. In a final part, we will explore the various French-language theater festivals throughout Europe, a privileged place for high school students to meet, share the desire to learn and finally speak French.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce zkoumá využití divadla na střední škole jako vyučovacího prostředku k výuce francouzského jazyka. Srovnává teorie mnoha didaktiků a učitelů se skutečnou praxí v českém školském systému. Tato analýza začíná retrospektivou historie (od starověkého Řecka po současnost) a metod spojujících divadlo s výukou. Druhá část je praktická a umožní nám porovnat teorii s názory těch učitelů a studentů, kteří se divadlu ve francouzském jazyce věnují. Tato část odkazuje na divadelní soubory z různých škol v České republice. Závěrečná část nabízí různé frankofonní divadelní festivaly v celé Evropě, které jsou místy setkávání studentů středních škol, sdílení jejich touhy učit se a mluvit francouzsky.
