Rhythmic auditory stimulation of gait in patients after stroke

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá vlivem komplexní rehabilitace na chůzi u pacientů po cévní mozkové příhodě. Cílem práce bylo potvrdit efekt rytmické akustické stimulace na rehabilitaci chůze u pacientů po CMP. Výběr pacientů probíhal na základě Funkční kategorie chůze. Pacienti byli náhodně rozděleni do dvou skupin. Ve skupině experimentální byla prováděna standartní rehabilitace doplněná o rytmickou akustickou stimulaci chůze. Skupina kontrolní podstoupila pouze standartní rehabilitaci. K objektivizaci jsme využili Bergovu funkční škálu rovnováhy, Dvouminutový test chůze, Zvedni se a jdi test, Fugl-Meyerovo hodnocení pro dolní končetinu a Funkční kategorii chůze. Výsledky ukázaly statisticky významné zlepšení u obou skupin pacientů ve všech testech s výjimkou Fugl-Meyerova hodnocení pro dolní končetinu (u obou skupin) a kontrolní skupiny v testu Funkční kategorie chůze. Rozdíl mezi skupinami pacientů byl statisticky významný pouze u Dvouminutového testu chůze.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis focuses on impact of complex rehabilitation on gait in patients after stroke. The goal of this thesis was to confirm the effect of rhythmic auditory stimulation on gait rehabilitation in patients after stroke. Selection of the patients was based on the Functional Ambulation Categories. The patients were randomly divided into two groups. The experimental group underwent a rhythmic auditory stimulation of gait in addition to the standard rehabilitation. Patients in the control group underwent only the standard rehabilitation. The Berg Balance Scale, The 2 Minute Walk Test, The Timed Up and Go Test, The Fugl-Meyer Assessment For Lower Extremity and The Functional Ambulation Categories were used as outcome measurements. Both groups showed statistically significant improvements in all used tests with two exceptions. There was not any statistically significant improvement in the Fugl-Meyer Assessment For Lower Extremity (in both groups) and in the Functional Ambulation Categories (in control group). Only the 2 Minute Walk Test showed statistically significant difference among the compared groups.
