The republic and the principate through the prism of the work of Cassius Dio
Abstract:
Téma bakalářské práce se zaměřuje na dílo Cassia Dia a soustředí se na porovnávání Římské republiky s císařstvím a to nejen z pohledu historického vývoje, ale zabývá se i kulturními rozdíly. Při vypracování bakalářské práce byla zohledněna také díla moderních historiků. Součástí práce je i zaměření na pojednání o dějinách historiografie a pojednání o životě historika Cassia Dia a jeho díle.
Abstract:
The theme of this bachelor thesis focuses on work of Cassius Dio and it is concentrated on compasion of Roman republic and principate, not only from historical point of view but also cultural differencies. This bachelor thesis deals even with opinions of modern historians. Another part of this thesis is focuse on historiografy and life of Cassius Dio.
