Use of hippotherapy in children with central coordination disturbance

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá zjištěním využití a účinků hipoterapie u dětí s centrální koordinační poruchou. V teoretické části jsou seskupeny dosavadní poznatky o vývojové kineziologii, diagnostice a stupních centrální koordinační poruchy, fyzioterapeutických polohách a účincích hipoterapie. V praktické části jsou tyto nabyté informace ověřovány na základě hypotéz ve čtyřech kazuistických šetřeních. Za tímto účelem byli vybráni pacienti do dvou let věku, u kterých byla vyšetřena spontánní motorika, přítomnost primitivních reflexů a polohové reakce v rámci psychomotorického vývoje a následně byl vyšetřen i svalový tonus. Z výsledků vyšetření bylo patrné zlepšení kvantitativní i kvalitativní složky spontánní motoriky, došlo k vymizení některých přetrvávajících primitivních reflexů a u polohových reakcí k posunu do dalších fází či k vymizení patologických vzorů, což souvisí právě s rozvojem spontánní motoriky a nástupem volní hybnosti. Na základě těchto výsledků došlo k celkovému zlepšení psychomotorického vývoje. Zlepšení bylo také zaznamenáno u svalového tonusu jak při výstupním vyšetření, tak i v průběhu hipoterapie. Z výsledků tedy vyplývá, že hipoterapie pozitivně působí na psychomotorický vývoj kojenců s centrální koordinační poruchou.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with finding out the use and the effects of hippotherapy in children with the central coordination disturbance. There are summarized the temporary knowledge about the developmental kinesiology, diagnostics and degrees of the central coordination disturbance, physiotherapeutic positions and the effects of hippotherapy in the theoretical part. In the practical part there is this information verified on the basis of hypotheses in four casuistic studies. The patients under two years have been chosen for this purpose and have been examined for the spontaneous motor activity, the presence of the primitive reflexes and postural reactions in psychomotor development and further the muscle tone has been examined. The results of the examination have showed the particular improvement within the quantitative and qualitative component of the spontaneous motorics. Some persistent primitive reflexes disappeared and postural reactions shifted to the next stages or pathological patterns have disappeared. Based on these results the psychomotor development has been improved overall. Improvement has been noticed in the muscle tone, both during output examination and during hippotherapy as well. Therefore the results show that hippotherapy has a positive effect on the psychomotor development´s infants with the central coordination disturbance.
