The effect of inhalation of 99.5% oxygen on reaction rate and the agility ability of floorball players.

Abstract:

Cílem naší práce je přispět k řešení problematiky týkající se rychlosti reakce a schopnosti agility v závislosti na inhalaci 99,5% kyslíku. Závěrečná práce je rozdělena na teoretická východiska a samostatný výzkum. V teoretických východiscích se na základě literární rešerše zabýváme vymezením florbalu, pohybových schopností, kde klademe důraz především na rychlostní schopnosti a koordinační schopnosti. Dále popisujeme hyperoxii a její vliv na sportovní výkon. V závěrečné části teorie představujeme dosavadní výzkumy na dané téma. V praktické části se věnujeme výzkumu, ve kterém jsme měřili výkony probandů v testech rychlosti reakce a agility testu. Při testování jsme využívali koncentrovaný kyslík značky Oxyfit.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to contribute to solving problems related to the speed of reaction and agility skills depending on the inhalation of 99.5% oxygen. The paper is divided into theoretical basis and research. The theoretical background is based on a literature review dealing with the definition of floorball, movement abilities, where the emphasis is put on speed capabilities and coordination skills. Furthermore, hyperoxia and its effects on athletic performance are described. Current research on the topic is introduced in the final part of the theory. The practical part is dedicated to the research which measured the performance of probands in tests of reaction speed and agility test. The brand Oxyfit concentrated oxygen was used for the testing.
