Abstract:

Disertační práce Interakce ve školní třídě s dobrým sociálním klimatem předkládá výsledky výzkumu zaměřeného na sociální interakci aktérů (žáků a třídní učitelky) ve středoškolské třídě s dobrým sociálním klimatem. Teoretická část publikace představuje pojetí sociálního klimatu školní třídy, vývoj zkoumání klimatu třídy. Podává základní informace o dimenzích, determinantách a typech klimatu třídy. V přehledu zmiňuje některé kvantitativní a kvalitativní metody vhodné pro zkoumání klimatu třídy. Dále se věnuje aktérům klimatu třídy, tj. žákům a třídnímu učiteli a dále vzájemné interakci mezi těmito aktéry. Empirická část odpovídá na otázku, jak probíhá interakce ve třídě s dobrým sociálním klimatem. Jedná se o smíšený výzkumný design s výraznou dominancí kvalitativních postupů. Jako výzkumná strategie byla zvolena případová studie. Kapitoly postupně zprostředkovávají výsledky první kvantitativní fáze a druhé, převážně kvalitativní, fáze výzkumného šetření, která je pro zodpovězení hlavní výzkumné otázky klíčová. Jsou identifikovány čtyři analytické kategorie, které určují podobu interakce v této třídě. Charakteristiky aktérů této třídy mají významný vliv na podobu vztahů (interakci) mezi nimi. Charakteristikami učitelky Ivy jsou mateřská starostlivost a vřelost, extroverze a zdravé sebevědomí, životní zkušenosti a mladistvost. Na druhé straně je velmi důležitá i podoba sociální struktury (identifikovali jsme 3 skupiny žáků tahouny, pohodáře a pozorovatele) a charakteristiky žáků, ke kterým patří, kladný vztah k autoritám, kladný vztah k učení, společné zájmy, týmovost. Klíčovou kategorií je demonstrace vzájemných vztahů aktérů třídy. Jedná se především o pomoc a péči učitelky, o pomoc a podporu v učení mezi jednotlivými žáky, sdílení osobních informací mezi aktéry třídy, znalost vzájemných očekávání a společné trávení času. To, jak aktéři demonstrují vzájemný vztah, dále souvisí s tím, jaké jsou komunikační zvyklosti ve třídě a jak jednotliví aktéři ovlivňují život třídy. V závěru přináší disertační práce i nástin možných doporučení pro třídní učitele při intervenci ve třídě.

Abstract:

This Ph.D. thesis is called The Interaction in a school class with a good social climate and offers results of a research focusing on social interaction of the participants (pupils and class teacher) in a secondary school class with a good social climate. The theoretical part of the thesis introduces the concept of social climate in a school class and the development of research of the school class climate. It offers elementary information concerning the dimensions, determinants and types of class climates. Some quantitative and qualitative methods appropriate for the research of the class climate are presented. It pays attention to the participants of the class climate – the pupils and the class teacher and to the interaction among these participants. The empirical part answers the question of how the interaction in a class with a good social climate works. It is a mixed methods research design with a significant dominance of qualitative methods. A case study was used as a research strategy. The chapters show the results of the first quantitative phase and of the second, prevailingly qualitative phase of the research, which is crucial for answering the main research question. Four analytical categories, which determine the interaction in the class, are identified. The characteristics of the participants of this class have a significant impact on the relationships (interaction) among them. The characteristics of the teacher Iva are mother care, warm heartedness, extroversion and self-confidence, life experience and youthfulness. On the other hand, the social structure (we have identified three groups of pupils: nerds, easy-going ones and observers) and the characteristics of the pupils, which include a positive relationship to authorities and to learning, common interests and team spirit, are very important. The key category is the demonstration of the mutual relationships of the class participants. It is mainly the help and care of the teacher, help and support among individual pupils and furthermore sharing of personal information within the participants, knowing other participants’ expectations and spending time together. The way the participants show their mutual relationships is closely connected to communicative conventions in the class and to how individual participants influence the life of the class. The thesis also summarizes and sketches the possible recommendations for class teachers’ intervention in the class.
