Biotopové nároky ohroženého krasce Dicerca berolinensis (Coleoptera: Buprestidae) v Moravském krasu a návrh managementu pro ochranu druhu

Habitat requirements of the endangered jewel beetle Dicerca berolinensis (Coleoptera: Buprestidae) in the Moravský kras and management concept for species protection

Abstract:

Krasec Dicerca berolinensis (Herbst, 1779) se řadí mezi ohrožené a ochranářsky významné saproxylické druhy brouků (Coleoptera) na území České republiky. O bionomii druhu však v současné době není dostatek informací. V rámci bakalářské práce byly zkoumány biotopové nároky na pěti lokalitách v Moravském krasu a nejbližším okolí. Výzkum byl proveden prostřednictvím evidování výletových otvorů druhu a vlastností stromů. Pro jednotlivé stromy byl evidován druh dřeviny, sociální status, vitalita, obvod, oslunění, přítomnost zlomu, dutiny, lysiny, plodnic hub, počet výletových otvorů ostatních druhů a počet mrtvého dřeva v okolí. Celkem bylo nalezeno 78 stromů obsazených krascem s celkovým počtem 697 výletových otvorů studovaného druhu. Počet výletových otvorů krasce byl prokazatelně ovlivněn vitalitou stromu, přítomností zlomu, dutiny, lysiny a světovou stranou kmene. Přičemž bylo zjištěno, že druh preferuje silně poškozené, odumírající a čerstvě odumřelé stromy a osluněnější části kmene. Pro podporu ohroženého krasce D. berolinesis je proto nutné v oblastech jeho výskytu ponechávat v porostech stojící odumřelé a odumírající listnaté stromy (zejména s lysinami a zlomy).

Abstract:

Jewel beetle Dicerca berolinensis (Herbst,1779) is considered as an endangered species and significant saproxylic beetle (Coleoptera) on the territory of Czech Republic. There is unfortunately insufficient amount of information about the ecology of this species. In presented bachelor thesis were explored habitat requirements on five localities in the Moravský kras Mts. and its surroundings. The research was conducted by evidence of exit holes of jewel beetle and the characteristics of the trees. It was assessed tree species, social status, vitality, circumference, sunlight exposure, breakage, cavity, blaze, fungi, and the number of exit holes of other species and the amount of dead wood in the surroundings. In total 78 trees were occupied by the Dicerca with the total number exit holes of studied species being 697. The number of exit holes of jewel beetle was significantly affected by the tree vitality, the presence of a breakage, cavity, blaze and the cardinal direction of the trunk. While at the same time it was discovered, that the species prefers highly damaged, dying and freshly dead trees and the parts of the trunk with higher levels of sun exposure. To support the endangered jewel beetle D. berolinesis, it is therefore necessary to leave in the area of interest standing dead or dying deciduous trees (especially with blaze and breakage).
