Abstract:
The focus of this thesis is to research altars and shrines of Roman households - Lararium, which were probably required component of ancient Roman houses. Also, this thesis emphasis on the Roman private cult and the guardian spirits Lares and Genius. Attention is paid mainly on Lararia in the Pompeii, where field research was held. Cieľom mojej práce je preskúmanie rímskych oltárov a svätýň Lararium, ktoré boli pravdepodobne povinnou súčasťou príbytku starých Rimanov. Taktiež spracovávam rímsky domáci kult ako taký, ktorého ústrednými postavami boli ochranní duchovia Lares a Genius. Práca kladie dôraz na Lararia v Pompejach, kde sa odohral terénny výskum.
