Coal mining and the life of miners in the Orlovsk region in the years 1960-1989

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o vývoji dolování uhlí na Orlovsku, které bylo součástí ostravsko-karvinského kamenouhelného revíru, v letech 1960-1989 a také o změnách v životě horníků žijících na tomto území; hlavně o sociálních a ekonomických dopadech v průběhu období souvisejícího s těžbou uhlí. Zaměřuje se na informace o důlní činnosti zejména na dolech Lazy a Doubrava, které se v této lokalitě nacházejí. Při tvorbě této práce bude použita literatura, práce s historickými prameny a metoda oral history.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with the development of coal mining in the Orlova region, which was part of the Ostrava-Karviná coal mining area, in the years 1960-1989 and also about changes in the lives of miners living in this area; mainly on the social and economic impacts during the coal mining period. It focuses on information about mining activities, especially at the Lazy and Doubrava mines, which are located in this locality. Literature, work with historical sources and the method of oral history will be used in the creation of this work.
