Support for victims of bullying in primary school

Abstract:

Šikana na základních školách je jednou z hlavních problematických oblastí českého školství. Cílená snaha pedagogických pracovníků však často naráží na nepochopení a nezájem spolupracovat (ze strany rodičů a dětí) na prevenci a včasném odhalení tohoto společensky nežádoucímu jevu. Z odborných pramenů je zřejmé, že následky, které šikana zanechá na oběti, jsou z hlediska osobnosti jedince devastující a často nevratné. Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na oblast podpory a pomoci obětem šikany na základní škole a za pomocí případových studií se snaží nalézt nejen příčiny šikany, ale i příčiny toho, proč k viktimizaci došlo. V teoretické části vymezujeme širší pohled na tuto problematiku včetně vývoje šikany, možnosti její diagnostiky, řešení, nápravy a prevence. Praktická část formou případových studií zkoumá rizikové faktory nejen aktérů šikany, ale i možných příčin viktimizace. Závěr práce formou diskuze nastiňuje a doporučuje postupy pro pedagogický personál základních škol, jek efektivněji pracovat s tímto významným fenoménem.

Abstract:

Bullying in elementary schools is one of the main problematic spheres in the czech education system. However, the directed effort of the pedagogical staff is often not understood by the parents and children and they do not want to collaborate on the prevention and on an early reveal of this socially udesirable phenomenon. From the academic sources it is evident that the consequences, which bullying leaves on its victim, are devastating and mostly irreversible. This bachelor's thesis focuses on the field of support and help for the victims of bullying and with the usage of case studies the thesis tries to find not only the causes of bullying, but also the causes of victimization. In the theoretical part, we define the broad perspective of this issue including the development of bullying and the options of diagnosis, sollutions, rectification and prevention. The practical part examines high-risk factors not only of the participants of bullying, but also of the possible causes of victimization, with the usage of case studies. The conclusion in form of a discussion outlines and recommends steps for the pedagogical staff how to work with this relevant issue more effectively.
