Development of pedagogical competencies from the perspective of university teachers - experts

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o rozvoji pedagogických kompetencí u vysokoškolských učitelů – expertů. Cílem této práce je přiblížit perspektivu zkušených učitelů, tedy učitelů – expertů, na rozvoj svých pedagogických kompetencí. V teoretické části je věnována pozornost nastínění rozvoje vysokoškolských učitelů z pohledu vybraných strategických dokumentů, následně je popsána profese vysokoškolského učitele od jeho profesní přípravy, přes náplň sestávající z rolí učitele a na ně navazujících kompetencí. Třetí kapitola přináší pohled na současné programy, které se věnují rozvoji pedagogických kompetencí u vysokoškolských učitelů. Čtvrtou a současně poslední kapitolu teoretické části jsem se rozhodla tematicky věnovat samotným učitelům - expertům. Věnuji se jednak tomu, jak je možné si učitele - experta definovat a současně přináším informace o aktuálních výzkumech, které se zabývají pedagogickým rozvojem u zkušených učitelů. V empirické části je popsána metodologie a postup při realizaci výzkumného šetření, následně jsou interpretována výzkumná zjištění. Analyzovaná data byla získána díky spolupráci se Západočeskou univerzitou v Plzni a jejich vzdělávacím programem PEDADESK. Pro účely této práce jsem spolupracovala se šesti vysokoškolskými učiteli, kteří programem prošli. Jednotlivá zjištění proto mohou sloužit Oddělení celoživotního a digitálního vzdělávání jako zpětná vazba na jejich vzdělávací kurzy.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis describes development of pedagogical competencies of university teachers – experts. The purpose of this work is to introduce the topic of competency development in perspective of experienced university teachers, thus teachers – experts. The theoretical part of the work presents development of university teachers within the framework of representative educational strategies, then describes the profession of the university teacher from his professional preparation to his content consisting of teacher’s roles, related competencies. The third chapter focuses on current programs dedicated to development of pedagogical competencies of university teacher – experts. The fourth as well as the last chapter of theoretical section dedicated to the teacher – expert himself. Firstly I describe how we can this teacher define and also I present some information about current researches that focus on development of pedagogical competencies of teachers - experts. In empirical part is presented methodology of the work with research phases and after that comes interpretation of research findings. The analysed data are gained from the collaboration with the West Bohemian University in Plzeň and their educational program PEDADESK. For the purposes of this thesis I worked with six university teachers, who have been in the mentioned program. Therefore the findings can be used as feedback to Department of lifelong and digital learning on their educational courses.
