Construction and Deconstruction

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem Morphology, je zaměřena na vývoj světelných objektů do prostoru. Projekt zahrnoval spolupráci s firmou Lanik, zabývajících se výrobou pěnových keramických filtrů pro slevárenství. Hlavním cílem mého výzkumu bylo aplikovat vlastnosti průmyslového materiálu do světelné instalace, a nacházení nových designových a konstrukčních řešení pro mou budoucí tvorbu. Zájmem této práce je světlo a optické materiály. V objektech světlo tvoří důležitou konstantu a evokuje pevný pilíř držící tvary. Zhmotňuje se mezi dvěma materiály, které s ním dále pracují. Při výrobě objektů jsem využívala principů konstrukce a dekonstrukce. Plynulá přeměna konstrukční hmoty na dekonstrukční, evokuje nekonečný přechod od jedné fáze ke druhé, které jsou uzavřeny do kruhu znázorňujícího cyklus. Cyklus vyjádřený instalací, nemá pevně definovaný začátek ani konec, čímž navozuje dojem nekonečné smyčky. Světlo pomocí optických vlastností skla v kombinaci s keramickým materiálem tvaruje objekty zevnitř.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis called Morphology, is focused on the development of lighting objects into spaces. The project included cooperation with the company Lanik, which manufactures foam ceramic filters for foundry. The main goal of my research was to apply the properties of industrial material to the lighting installation and find a new design solution by pushing the limits of properties and boundaries of this material for my future work. The interest of this work is lighting and optical materials. Light in objects forms are an important constant and evokes a solid pillar that holds shapes. Light materializes between two materials that process it further. During the construction of the buildings, the principle of construction and others were deconstructed. The smooth transformation of matter from construction to deconstruction evokes an endless transition from one phase to another, which closes in a circle, representing the cycle. In order for the shapes to follow each other smoothly, they do not have a certain beginning or end. The light uses the optical properties that glass has in combination with ceramic material to shape objects from the inside.
