"A man can not wish for more in real socialism": Vladimir Rencin's cartoon humor as a social satire?

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o kreslíři a karikaturistovi Vladimíru Renčínovi (1941-2017) a jeho díle. Pozornost je zde věnována zejména jeho tvůrčím začátkům během šedesátých let a tvorbě v letech sedmdesátých ve světle tehdejšího politického zřízení státu. Kresby tohoto autora se pro svůj satirický obsah staly předmětem zájmu tehdejších bezpečnostních složek Československé socialistické republiky a později mu bylo zakázáno publikovat.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is about a sketcher and a cartoonist Vladimir Rencin (1941-2017) and his work. Attention is especially focused on the beginning of his career in the 1960‘s and his work during the 1970‘s in the light of the then political establishment. For the satirical content of his drawings, he became an object of interest of the Czechoslovak Sosialist Republic State security.
