Allocation of collection points for more efficient waste separation

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje efektivnímu umístění sběrných míst v rámci odpadového hospodářství. Snahou a cílem práce je přispět analýzou sběrných hnízd k lepšímu nakládání s odpady na území vybrané obce v rámci jejich prvotní fáze recyklace, a sice samotného sběru. Práce obsahuje problematiku odpadového hospodářství, kterou autor popisuje rešeršní částí. Pro aplikační část autor vytvořil analýzy současného stavu metodami terénního výzkumu a prezentací výsledků. V další části jsou prezentovány výsledky aplikační části, které splňují dané cíle práce metodickými kroky. Výsledky práce vypovídají o tom, že sběrná místa mají mezery v absenci fyzických zábran, estetice a v možnosti rozšíření, neboť nedosáhly ani hodnocení 5/10. Naopak kategorie hodnocení, ve kterých jsou sběrná místa ohodnocena nadprůměrně pozitivně, jsou vybavenost nálepkami, přístup pro obyvatelstvo a podklad pod nádobami. Tyto výsledky jsou podpořeny vytvořením unikátního indexu pro určování důležitosti domácností vůči sídelní jednotce. Následně je zde rozvinuta aplikace výsledků na vybranou sídelní jednotku, diskuse formou propojení bakalářské práce s bakalářskou praxí a shrnutí dosažených výsledků.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with making the placement of collection points more effective as a part of waste managment. The aim and the goal of this thesis is to contribute to the better management waste management in the territory of the selected municipality within the initial phase of recycling, namely the collection itself, by analyzing the collection nests. This thesis contains problematics of waste management, which the author describes in the research part. For the application part, the author created analyzes of the current state by methods of field research and presentation of results. The next part presents the results of the application part, which meet the goals of this thesis by methodical steps. The results of this thesis shows that the collection points have gaps in the absence of physical barriers, aesthetics and the possibility of expansion, as they did not even reach the rating of 5/10. On the contrary, the categories of evaluation, in which the collection points are evaluated above average, are the amenities with stickers, access for the population and the base under the containers. These results are supported by the creation of a unique index for determining the importance of households to the settlement unit. Subsequently, the application of the results to the selected settlement unit, a discussion in the form of a connection between the bachelor´s thesis and the bachelor´s practice and a summary of the achieved results are developed here.
