New trends in the field of Surlyn\regm{} copolymer

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou týkající se ionomeru, který se komerčně nazývá Surlyn\regm{}. Z chemického hlediska se jedná o kopolymer ethylenu a kyseliny metakry-lové, jejíž karboxylové skupiny byly částečně zneutralizovány kovovými ionty. První část práce je věnována úvodu do problematiky a popisu jednotlivých druhů Surlynu\regm{}. Ná-sleduje zhodnocení výsledných vlastností Surlynu\regm{} a vlivu obsahu kyseliny metakrylové, druhů iontů použitých k její neutralizaci a stupni její neutralizace na výsledné vlastnosti. V třetí části je sestaven přehled použití Surlynu\regm{} v minulosti, současnosti a autorova vize jeho použití do budoucnosti. Závěrem práce obsahuje vypracovaný přehled výhod a nevýhod ionomeru Surlyn\regm{}.

Abstract:

Presented bachelor thesis deals with ionomer resins, which is commercially called Surlyn\regm{}. Surlyn\regm{} is copolymer of ethylene and methacrylic acid, in which the carboxylic groups are partly neutralized with metal ion. The first part of this thesis introduces the issue and de-scribes the different types of Surlyn\regm{}, while the second part summarizes the final properties of Surlyn\regm{} resins and characterizes the effect of methacrylic acid content, ion type used for carboxylic group neutralization and degree of this group neutralization on the final properties. In third part the summary of Surlyn\regm{} resins application in the past, present and authors vision in to the future is done. Finnaly, the thesis contains review of Surlyn\regm{} resins benefits and disadvantages.
