The Project of Cost Management in Purchase Procedure by Using the Activity-Based Costing Method in Company Meopta - optika, s. r. o.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá vytvorením metódy zachytenia nákladov, vznikajúcich pri ob-starávaní materiálu v požadovanej kvalite, v spoločnosti Meopta optika, s. r. o.. Kalkulá-cia nákladov má zachytiť všetky náklady vznikajúce pri zabezpečovaní požadovaného ma-teriálu, pričom sa berú do úvahy aj náklady vznikajúce pri riešení otázok ohľadom poško-deného materiálu. Zostavenie spôsobu kalkulovania berie do úvahy využitie metódy Activi-ty-based Costing. Nákupné oddelenie, pre ktoré je spôsob kalkulovania určený, tak bude schopné rozhodovať o výbere optimálnejšieho dodávateľa z hľadiska nákladovosti. V rámci riešenia bola vykonaná literárna rešerš, ktorá sa zaoberala definovaním používa-ných kalkulačných metód a systémov v praxi a členením nákladov z rôznych aspektov. Tak-tiež boli prevedené rôzne analýzy v praktickej časti, týkajúce sa nákladového riadenia a kalkulácií v podniku, kde zistené informácie a nedostatky tvorili podklad na zhotovenie ABC metódy kalkulovania nákladov, relevantných pri rozhodovaní nákupného oddelenia. Väčšia časť praktickej časti je zameraná na samotnú implementáciu ABC modelu, ktorý je v závere využitý na vyčíslenie nákladov konkrétneho prípadu materiálovej položky.

Abstract:

This master's thesis is focused on creating a model of allocation of costs that originate in a purchase of material under required conditions in Meopta optika, s.r.o. Costing should allocate all costs created by purchasing the material, while it is necessary to take into ac-count the costs formed by defective material. Costing process considering the method known as Activity Based Costing. The purchase department, after implementing the cos-ting method, would be able to choose the right supplier more effectively. Within the scope of the thesis, literature retrieval was processed in order to define commonly used costing methods and systems, and also to structure the cost by using various aspects. The practical part of the thesis is dedicated to miscellaneous analyses of the cost management, costing systems, and mainly to implementation of the Activity Based Costing method in the usage of the purchasing department. Lastly, the ABC model is used to compute the costs of the particular material item.
