Abstract:

Cíl: Hlavním cílem diplomové práce bylo popsat pocity, zkušenosti a prožitky pacientů s poruchou pohlavní identity - transsexualismem. Dále pak zjistit, co tito pacienti vnímají a prožívají v souvislosti s postojem rodiny a nejbližšího okolí. Metodika: Data byla získávána formou polostrukturovaného rozhovoru a analyzována pomocí interpretativní fenomenologické analýzy (IPA). Výzkumný soubor tvořilo sedm transsexuálních osob, tři transsexuální muži (FtM) a čtyři transsexuální ženy (MtF). Rozhovory probíhaly v období leden-prosinec 2021. Výsledky: Na základě analýzy byla formulována následující témata zachycující pocity, zkušenosti a prožívání participantů v souvislosti se změnou pohlavní identity od prvního zachycení odlišností od daného pohlaví, přes období uvědomění si vlastní identity až do současnosti: uvědomení; období vzdělávání; rodina; léčba; zaměstnání; partnerství, manželství, vztahy; vize a přání. Ze získaných dat bylo zřejmé, že pocity, zkušenosti a prožitky participantů byly jedinečné, podobné nebo shodné. Podstatnou roli také sehrála doba, ve které se participanti narodili. Především v informovanosti, obav a strachu. Závěr: Informovanost participantů se měnila s dobou. Čím více cítili participanti podporu rodiny, tím lépe snášeli průběh léčby. Čím lépe reagovalo okolí na jejich rozhodnutí změnit pohlavní identitu, tím snazší bylo jejich začlenění do společnosti. Vzdělávání a informovanost veřejnosti jsou nedílnou součástí dobré vzájemné komunikace.

Abstract:

Aim: The main aim of the thesis is to describe the feelings, experiences, and memories of patients with gender identity disorder - transsexualism. Secondary aim was to find out what these patients perceive and experience in connection with the attitude of the family and the closest people. Methodology: Data were obtained in the form of a semi-structured interview and analysed using interpretive phenomenological analysis (IPA). The research group consisted of seven transgender people, three transgender men (FtM) and four transgender women (MtF). Interviews took place from January to December 2021. Results: Based on the analysis, the following topics were formulated capturing the feelings and experiences of participants in connection with the change of gender identity from the first glances of differences in gender roles, through the period of becoming self-aware to the present being: awareness; education; family; therapy; employment; partnership, marriage, relationships; vision and wishes. From the data obtained, it was clear that the feelings, experiences, and memories of the participants were unique, similar, or identical in certain topics. Period in which the participants were born also played a significant role. Especially in awareness, fear, and concerns. Conclusion: Participants' awareness has changed over time and throughout the period they lived through. The more the participants felt family support, the better they tolerated the course of treatment. The better those that surrounded the patient reacted to their decision to change their gender identity, the easier it was for them to integrate into society as a whole. Public education and awareness are an integral part of good communication for transgender persons.
