The application of stepping robotic toys in teaching at the lower primary school level

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá krokovacími robotickými hračkami a jejich využitím ve vyučovacích hodinách na 1. stupni základní školy. Teoretická část práce vymezuje základní pojmy, představuje algoritmizaci a programování na prvním stupni v RVP ZV, popisuje zapojení této oblasti v rámci aktuálních učebnic pro výuku informatiky na 1. stupni. Následně jsou představeny vybrané krokovací robotické hračky využívané ve výuce na základních školách. Výzkumná část práce prostřednictvím rozhovorů zjišťuje, jakým způsobem učitelé zapojují roboty do své výuky i v mezipředmětovém propojení a jaké metodické materiály využívají, jaké materiály pro pedagogy chybí apod. Na základě poznatků z výzkumné části je v praktické části práce vytvořena metodická příručka a materiály pro učitele, které ukazují možnosti zapojení robotických krokovacích hraček na prvním stupni průřezově mezi vyučovacími předměty v rámci celého prvního stupně.

Abstract:

The thesis addresses stepping robotic toys and their utilization in teaching sessions at the primary school level. The theoretical segment of the thesis delineates fundamental concepts, introduces algorithmizing and programming at the first level within the Framework Educational Program for Basic Education (FEP BE), and describes the incorporation of this domain within current textbooks for teaching computer science at the primary level. Subsequently, selected programmable robotic toys employed in primary school education are introduced. Through interviews, the research section of the thesis investigates how teachers integrate robots into their teaching, including interdisciplinary connections, and what methodological resources they utilize, as well as identifying materials lacking for educators, among other aspects. Based on the insights from the research section, the practical part of the thesis develops a methodological handbook and materials for teachers, demonstrating the possibilities of integrating robotic stepping toys cross-curricular at the primary level throughout elementary education.
