Teaching teenagers speaking: Developing communicative skills

Abstract:

Tato práce se zaměřuje na problematiku vyučování mluvení v angličtině. Zejména je zde obhajována důležitost studia cizích jazyků v poslední době. Také řeší problematiku osvojování komunikativních dovedností a nejlepší způsoby jejich zdokonalování. Dalším bodem této práce jsou potíže vznikající při výuce teenagerů (motivace) a samozřejmě rady jak se vyvarovat těchto problémů. Hlavním cílem této práce je varovat učitele před možnými nástrahami nejpoužívanějších komunikačních aktivit a zároveň poskytnout pár užitečných rad pro uskutečnění úspěšné komunikativní hodiny.

Abstract:

This project focuses on the issue of teaching and learning speaking in English. Primarily it justifies the importance of learning foreign languages over the centuries. It also examines the problems of training and developing communicative skills and the best ways to improve these. Another point of this work is to look at the difficulties of teaching teenagers (motivation) and to present some valuable advice how to eliminate these problems. The aim of the work is to warn teachers of the dangers that might appear when running some popular communicative activities and provide them with a few tips or guidelines for a successful communicative lesson.
