Conversion of Industrial heritage monuments in Opava

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem konverzí industriálních areálů v Opavě. Z kompilace literatury, terénního a archivního výzkumu je vytvořen soupis industriálních areálů a objektů vhodných či prošlých konverzí. Z tohoto soupisu jsou vybrané areály: škrobárna Anton Pohl (OPAMYL), Měšťanský pivovar v Opavě a objekt vodárenské věže v železniční stanici Opava východ podrobeny důkladnější analýze. V této analýze je popsána a zpracována samotná konverze a její hodnocení, a to v kontextu popsaného historického a stavebně technického vývoje řešených objektů a procesů vedoucím k jejich zachování a konverzi.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis determines the topic of conversion of industrial sites in Opava. An inventory of industrial objects suitable for conversion or after conversion is listed based on the compilation of literature, field and archive research. From this list of industrial object the following are selected and analyzed: the Anton Pohl Starch Factory (OPAMYL), the Municipal Brewery in Opava and the Water Tower Building at the Railway Station Opava - vychod. This thesis descrbes and studies the conversion of these industrial objects in context of historical, building and technological development. It also analyzes and evaluates the processes prior to the preservation and conversion.
