Identification of genes encoding corpuscular bacteriocins of Pragia fontium (24613)
Abstract:
Diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku bakteriocinu druhu Pragia fontium, konkrétně na identifikaci doposud neznámých genů bakteriocinů. Bakteriociny mají korpuskulární charakter a jsou kódovány bakteriofágům podobnými geny, jejichž funkce byla ověřena experimentálně. Práce také poskytuje genomovou sekvenci kmene P. fontium 24613.
Abstract:
This work is focused on research of bacteriocins of Pragia fontium 24613. Very little is known about these bacteriocins, only that they are probably of corpuscular character and are encoded by bacteriophage-like genes. Another aim of this work is to process genome sequence of this organism analyze it bioinformatically. Genes for bacteriocins were experimentally identified.
