Images and Motifs of Images in the Literary Works of Roman Ludva

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vybranými prozaickými díly Romana Ludvy. Teoretická část obsahuje základní informace o autorově životě a tvorbě, ale objasňuje také literárněvědný kontext vztahující se k teorii popisu a k ekfrázi. Pro práci jsou nejdůležitější motivy obrazu a výtvar-ného umění, které se vyskytují v mnoha Ludvových literárních dílech, například v knize Stěna srdce (2001) a Jezdci pod slunečníkem (1999). Jejich rozboru, zvláště pak Ludvově pojetí ekfráze, je věnována druhá část diplomové práce.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with selected prose works of Roman Ludva. The theo-retical part contains basic information about the author's life and work, but it also explains the literary context related to the theory of description and ekphrasis. Most relevant to the thesis are the motifs of image and visual art that appear in many of Ludva's literary works, such as The Stěna srdce (2001) and Jezdci pod slunečníkem (1999). The second section of the thesis is devoted to their analysis, especially Ludva's conception of ekphrasis.
