Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Neziskové organizace a mimořádné události“ je identifikace rolí nestátních neziskových organizací v Olomouckém kraji při zvládání následků povodní včetně nákladů, přínosů, limitů a rizik této participace. Práce sestává ze čtyř hlavních částí. V prvních dvou jsou identifikovány základní pojmy, tedy nezisková organizace a mimořádná událost, přičemž oblast zkoumání je zúžena na nestátní neziskové organizace a mimořádné události velkého rozsahu. Třetí kapitola identifikuje na základě tuzemských i zahraničních zkušeností z mimořádných událostí velkého rozsahu role, jaké mohou nestátní neziskové organizace plnit, a zároveň náklady, přínosy, limity a rizika s touto jejich činnosti spojené. Poslední část práce tvoří přednes výsledků vzniklých z analýzy strukturovaných rozhovorů provedených s kompetentními osobami v této problematice v Olomouckém kraji.

Abstract:

The objective of the submitted diploma thesis “Nonprofit Organizations and Emergencies” is to identify the role of nonprofit organizations in the matter of flood management in Olomouc region in the Czech Republic. The costs, benefits, limits and risks connected with their participation will also be assessed. The paper consists of four chapters. The first and the second chapter provide the definition of the key terms nonprofit organization and emergency in the context of disasters. The third chapter focuses on the roles of NPOs in relief and mitigation processes and identifies the roles that these organizations play. Semi-structured interviews with experts in flood management in Olomouc region are used as a method of qualitative research. The last part provides the results of this qualitative research, conclusions and recommendations in the matter of participation of NPOs in flood management in Olomouc region.
