The attitude of social workers of OSPOD relating to the ethical dilemma in selected area

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaobírá tématem postoje pracovníků OSPOD k etickému dilematu, kdy se mají rozhodnout, jestli dítě z rodiny odebrat nebo ne. Smyslem této práce je zodpovědět hlavní výzkumnou otázku: Jaký zaujímají sociální pracovníci OSPOD postoj k etickému dilematu, kdy se mají rozhodnout, jestli dítě nadále ponechat ve stávající rodině anebo dítě odebrat trvale zvolením ústavní výchovy? V teoretické části popisuji vymezení činností OSPOD, charakteristiku sociálního pracovníka OSPOD, typologii sociálních pracovníků, proces rozhodování, postoj, etická dilemata, včetně možného řešení etických dilemat. V metodologické části popisuji kvalitativní výzkum a techniku polostrukturovaného rozhovoru, jakožto zvolenou metodiku výzkumu. V další části se věnuji interpretaci výsledků výzkumu, které vychází z dílčích výzkumných otázek, analyzujících tři složky postoje a sebepojetí sociálních pracovníků OSPOD.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on the attitude of social workers of Child Protection Authority (hereinafter OSPOD) to the ethical dilemma in selected area, when they have to decide whether to remove the child from the family or not. The purpose of this work is to answer the main research question: What is the attitude of social workers towards the ethical dilemma if they have to decide whether retain the child in family or permanently remove the child to the institutional care? The theoretical part describes the activities of OSPOD, the characteristic of a social worker OSPOD, typology of social workers, decision making, attitude, ethical dilemmas including resolving ethical dilemmas. The methodological part describes the qualitative research strategy and the semi-structured interviews as the research method. The final part deals with the interpretation of the obtained data, which are based on the research questions, analyzing the three components of attitude and self-concept of social workers OSPOD.
