Treblinka concentration camp and its Polish prisoners

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na popis a historii polského vyhlazovacího tábora Treblinka a na život polských a židovských vězňů. Práce se též v krátkosti zabývá důvody pro vznik koncentračních a vyhlazovacích táborů a zejména příčinami, které později vedly k vytvoření tzv. akce Reinhard. Je popisován život vězňů a jejich možnosti pracovního využití. Díky autentickým výpovědím vězňů, kteří přežili Treblinku, je tak podán ucelenější a jasnější obraz o fungování tohoto tábora i o plánování povstání. V práci jsou popsány osudy (především) polských židovských vězňů, kterým se podařilo z Treblinky utéci. Závěr je věnován samotnému zániku tábora, osudům několika hlavních vedoucích představitelů tohoto tábora a současnému stavu území, na němž tento komplex stál

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the description and history of the Polish extermination camp Treblinka and the life of Polish and Jewish prisoners. The thesis deal with the reasons for the establishment of concentration and extermination camps and especially the causes which later led to the creation of the so-called Operation Reinhard. There is described prisoners' lives and their employment as labour. With authentic testimonies of prisoners who survived Treblinka is gave a more complete and clearer picture of the functioning of the camp as well as planning the unprising. In the thesis are mainly described the life stories of Polish Jewish prisoners, who managed to escape from Treblinka. The conclusion of the thesis is devoted to the death of the camp, the life stories of several head leaders of the camp and the current condition of the arrea where this complex was.
