Tax support for electromobility in the Czech Republic and Europe

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou současné daňové podpory elektromobility v České republice a Evropě. V teoretické části je popsána problematika zdaňování osobních automobilů v České republice a ve vybraných státech Ev-ropy. Dílčí část práce se věnuje legislativnímu rámci, který přímo ovlivňuje rozšiřování elektromobility v rámci Evropského hospodářského prostoru. V práci jsou vymezeny konkrétní hodnoty počtu těchto automobilů ve vozových parcích a zhodnoceny finanční formy podpory elektromobility. Samostatná část práce je věnovaná současné pandemické krizi COVID-19 a jejím faktickým dopadům na elektromobilitu jak v České republice, tak na poli Evropské unie. V rámci analytické části bylo provedeno dotazníkové šetření, jehož obsahem bylo identifikovat připravenost, preference a zájem oslovených respondentů v oblasti elektromobility. Na základě zjištěných skutečností byly navrženy a doporučeny formy daňové podpory elektromobility pro Českou republiku, které by vedly k dosažení vyššího prodeje environmentálně příznivějších vozidel.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis deals with the issue of current tax support for electromobility in the Czech Republic and Europe. The theoretical part describes the issue of car taxation in the Czech Republic and in selected European countries. A partial part of the thesis is focused on the legislative framework that affects the expansion of electromobility in the European Economic Area. The thesis defines the specific values of the number of electric cars in the fleets and evaluates the financial forms of support for electromobility. The separate part of the thesis deals with the current pandemic crisis of COVID-19 and the real impacts on electromobility both in the Czech Republic and in the European Union. In the analytical part, a questionnaire survey was conducted, the content of which was to identify the readiness, preference and interest of the addressed respondents in the field of electromobility. Based on the findings, forms of tax support for electromobility for the Czech Republic were proposed and recommended, which would lead to higher sales of more environmentally friendly vehicles.
