Financial statement according to the categorization of accounting entities

Abstract:

Kategorizace účetních jednotek, která byla v České republice zavedena od 1. ledna 2016 na základě nové směrnice Evropského parlamentu a rady 2013/34/EU, rozdělila účetní jednotky dle výše čistého obratu, výše čistých aktiv a průměrného počtu zaměstnanců na jednotky mikro, malé, střední a velké. Zařazením do příslušných kategorií plynou účetním jednotkám odlišné povinnosti týkající se účetního vykazování. Jednotné účetní vykazování v rámci Evropské unie bylo jedním z důvodů zavedení nové směrnice. Cílem práce je na základě analýzy sestavené účetní závěrky za rok 2017 vybrané společnosti XY s.r.o. zhodnotit, jaké jsou možnosti eliminace její transformace z malé účetní jednotky na střední účetní jednotku při stále se zvyšujícím obratu. V bakalářské práci je použita metoda sběru sekundárních dat, metoda deskripce a metoda analýzy kritérií ovlivňujících změnu kategorie účetní jednotky.

Abstract:

The categorization of accounting entities that was introduced in the Czech Republic on January 1, 2016 under the new Directive 2013/34/EU of the European Parliament and the Council, divided entities by the net turnover, net assets and average number of employees to micro, small, medium-sized and large entities. Being categorized means to have certain accounting reporting obligations, which differ depending on the category of given entity. The main reason for the introduction of new directive was to implement uniform reporting within the European Union. The aim of this thesis is to assess the possibilities of eliminating company transformation from a small entity to a medium-sized entity with an ever-increasing turnover, based on an analysis of the financial statements of XY s.r.o. prepared for the FY 2017. The secondary data collection method, the description method and the method of analyzing the criteria affecting the change of entity category are all applied in the bachelor thesis.
