The Use of Computer Simulations in Teaching the Management and Logistics of Production Subject

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá využitím počítačové simulace ve výuce předmětu Řízení a logistika výroby. Počítačové simulace jsou založeny na simulaci reálných jevů. V tomto specifickém případě se oblast zájmu týká vzdělávání, v němž simulace může být definována jako počítačový program, který reprodukuje skutečný výrobní systém, ale ve zjednodušené formě navržené pro výuková témata. Jednotlivé modely byly sestaveny v software Witness. Počítačové simulace poskytují schopnost reprodukovat jevy s různou mírou složitosti k dosažení určitého daného vzdělávacího cíle. Důraz je kladen na praktickou formu výuky. Počítačové simulace, které umožňují interakci ze strany studenta, mohou v procesu učení představovat efektivní virtuální prostředí. Studenti mohou model studovat a zkoumat jeho chování v reakci na změny v některých jeho parametrech.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the use of computer simulations in teaching the subject of management and logistics of production. Computer simulations are based on the simulation of real phenomena. In this specific case, the area of interest is in the field of education, in which such simulation can be defined as a computer program that reproduces a real manufacturing system, but in a simplified form designed to provide learning themes. Particular models were constructed in Witness software. The computer simulations provide their ability to reproduce phenomena with varying degrees of complexity to obtaining some given educational objective. It emphasizes the practical form of the teaching. Computer simulations that allow interaction on the part of the student, can constitute effective virtual environments in their process of learning. The students can study the actual model and investigate its behavior in response to changes in some of its parameters.
