Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá managementem diverzity a je primárně zaměřena na aplikaci diverzity managementu v kontextu multinacionálních IT společností a identifikaci současných přístupů k problematice diverzity v multinacionálních podnicích. Primárním cílem práce je vytvoření grafického modelu diverzity managementu pro multikulturní organizace podnikající v odvětví informačních technologií. Sekundárním cílem je prostřednictvím rešerše odborné literatury identifikovat současné přístupy k diverzity managementu a objasnit jeho přínosy. Dalším sekundárním cílem je identifikovat specifika využití diverzity managementu v IT globálních společnostech, které se vyznačují multikulturním pracovním prostředím. Problematika je prozkoumána a rozebrána jak z teoretického, tak i z praktického hlediska. Z tohoto důvodu je práce rozčleněna na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část se věnuje pojmu diverzita, kategorie diverzity, management diverzity, nástroje managementu diverzity, rovné příležitosti na pracovišti, modely a koncepce diverzity. Tato část práce je sestavena nejen z poznatků z odborné literatury, ale také z poznatků z impaktovaných a recenzovaných časopisů a článků. V praktické části je realizován kvantitativní a kvalitativní výzkum mezi zaměstnanci čtrnácti vybraných podniků. Organizace v různé míře uplatňují management diverzity. Kvalitativní výzkum má podobu hloubkových rozhovorů se zaměstnanci, kteří odpovídají za management diverzity v daných organizacích. Na základě tohoto kvalitativního výzkumu jsou sestavené hypotézy. Uvedené hypotézy následně ověřuje kvantitativní výzkum realizovaný mezi zaměstnanci vybraných podniků. Výstupem celé práce je potom tvorba modelu řízení diverzity. Praktická část má tak empirickou povahu, kdy zjišťuje konkrétní úroveň uplatnění diverzity managementu v IT organizacích s multikulturním prostředím. Toto zjišťování probíhá s využitím kvantitativního i kvalitativního sběru dat.

Abstract:

The dissertation thesis deals with the issues of diversity management in multicultural environment. The primary objective of the thesis is to create a graphical model of diversity management for multicultural organisations operating in the field of information technology. The secondary objective is to identify, through expert literature research, the current approaches to diversity management and to clarify its benefits. The theme is examined and discussed from theoretical as well as practical point of view. The theoretical part deals with the scope, categories, instruments, models and concepts of diversity, as well as diversity management with equal opportunities in the workplace. This section was created not only on the basis of expert literature, but also on the basis of inputs found in impacted and reviewed journals and articles. The practical part presents the quantitative and qualitative research carried out among managers in 14 selected enterprises applying diversity management in varying degrees. Based on this qualitative research hypotheses are formed. These hypotheses are subsequently verified by the quantitative research conducted among managers of selected companies. The practical part has empirical character, as it investigates a specific level of application of diversity management in selected IT organisations with multicultural environment. This investigation is carried out using quantitative and qualitative data collection.
