Nástroje na dolovanie procesov sa zameriavajú na objavovanie, vyhodnocovanie a vylepšovanie procesov modelovaných z protokolov udalostí importovaných používateľom. S cieľom pomôcť koncovým používateľom a výskumníkom vybrať si uspokojivé a vhodné nástroje v závislosti od ich práce, porovnávacie testovanie softvéru poskytuje pohľad na silné a slabé stránky a schopnosti softvéru.
